Events & Activities

The Lafayette Place Improvement Association (LPIA) plans and implements various annual activities. The annual association dues fund these events and activities.

Dates for 2019 are:

The Great American Cleanup – Saturday, May 4. Lafayette Place residents participate in this City-wide event by addressing our own neighborhood. We meet at the Gazebo at 9:30am and work for about two hours on assigned areas. Gloves, t-shirts & trash bags are provided by the City. If you have not signed up for this event yet, contact Westley Falcaro at 456-1608.

Dirt Day – Saturday, May 25.  6 cubic yards of peat, sand and black dirt are divided between the north and south ends of the Esplanade for residents use. One wheel barrel per household until noon, then unlimited amounts may be taken. (May be canceled if hard rain or storms)

Association Garage Sale – Friday & Saturday, June 14 & 15. An addition-wide garage sale held each June. The Lafayette Place Improvement Association (LPIA) places signs around the neighborhood and pays for newspaper advertising.

A Night of Music – Scheduled for Saturday, July 27, 7pm to 10pm.  This has become one of our most popular events. THE TODD HARROLD BAND will entertain at the Gazebo with 3 hours of great music, from R&B to soul, rock & jazz! Bring a blanket or a lawn chair & your favorite refreshments – it’s free and open to the public!

Trick or Treat – Sunday, October 27.   Trick or Treaters will roam our streets from 3pm – 5pm and T.A.G. Art will again provide wonderful live characters at the Gazebo from 4pm – 5pm. Don’t forget your camera!! Participating residents are identified by posting a sign provided by the Association.
