Events & Activities

The Lafayette Place Improvement Association (LPIA) plans and implements various annual activities. The annual association dues fund these events and activities.

Dates for 2020 are:

The Great American Cleanup – This City-Wide event has been postponed due to COVID-19. At this time, it has been re-scheduled for September 19, 2020

Dirt Day – Saturday, May 23.  7 cubic yards of peat, sand and black dirt are divided among the north and south ends of the Esplanade and  McKinnie Circle for residents use. One wheel barrel per household until noon, then unlimited amounts may be taken. (May be canceled if hard rain or storms) THIS EVENT IS ON SCHEDULE

Association Garage Sale Originally scheduled for June, this event has been cancelled due to the Coronavirus. Re-scheduling has not been confirmed at this time. 

A Night of Music –  Currently scheduled for Saturday, July 25, 7pm to 10pm.  This has become one of our most popular events. THE TODD HARROLD BAND will entertain at the Gazebo with 3 hours of great music, from R&B to soul, rock & jazz! Bring a blanket or a lawn chair & your favorite refreshments – it’s free and open to the public! UPDATES REGARDING THIS EVENT & ANY CANCELATION DUE TO COVID-19 WILL BE POSTED – UDATE: WE HAD A GREAT TIME – SEE PHOTOS IN THE GALLERY!

Trick or Treat – Sunday, October 25.   Trick or Treaters will roam our streets from 3pm – 5pm and live characters will be at the Gazebo from 4pm – 5pm. Don’t forget your camera!! Participating residents are identified by posting a sign provided by the Association.  UPDATES REGARDING THIS EVENT & ANY CANCELATION DUE TO COVID-19 WILL BE POSTED
